How To Use

This is a drum sequencer that iterates through Conway's game of life on each repetition of the measure. To use, simply select some cells and press play. You can also lock a cell by using right click, or by pressing and holding on mobile. This prevents the cell's state from changing between generations.

Conway's Game of Life is a cellular automata game that consists of three rules

1. Any live cell with fewer than two live neighbours dies, as if by underpopulation.
2. Any live cell with two or three live neighbours lives on to the next generation.
3. Any live cell with more than three live neighbours dies, as if by overpopulation.
4. Any dead cell with exactly three live neighbours becomes a live cell, as if by reproduction.
